Joshua Card is counsel at Kercher Law. Josh’s practice centers on high-stakes commercial disputes. He represents companies, investors, individuals, and boards in disputes involving corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, LLC and partnership matters, and other complex commercial and securities claims. Josh brings the perspective not only of a litigator who has built and tried cases, but also of a stakeholder who has underwritten and managed litigation as an asset, with a focus on its value and the cost and risks of the litigation process.
Before joining Kercher, Josh helped lead Therium Capital Management’s litigation funding business in the United States, where he evaluated, priced, and negotiated funding for commercial claims and international arbitrations and monitored funded matters through resolution. He previously practiced at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Sidley Austin LLP, on matters including securities class actions, stockholder appraisal and derivative litigation, internal investigations and related SEC and DOJ inquiries, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, and disputes arising from mergers and other transactions.
